Solwezi’s Entertainment Industry is Slowing getting on it’s feet. In 2020 Zambia’s Top mainstream artists from the Likes of Slap dee, Macky2, T-sean, Bowchase, chanda nakay, Bobby east, Nezy Long, Chef 187, Yo Maps, Danny Kaya to mention a few, were main acts at most of the shows organized in Solwezi by event organizers. Since solwezi has got potential to grow and has many resources to host such big acts, how about the local acts from solwezi? How many or who has the potential to be the next big thing? At the Beginning of 2020 they released a song Titled on the way’ featuring Jay B a trap artist from Solwezi. The song was their only song of 2020 but, they did have individual feature songs. The song’s lyrical content was relatable by both mainstream and upcoming acts but, mostly the song was talking about the unfairness of the music industry in solwezi which still hasn’t shown any favor to upcoming local artists. We can say the song was food for thought which Hashtag gave the solwezi music industry promoters and event organizers to analyze for a Year now. At the end of 2020 the duo announced they will soon release a song Titled War with a surprise feature who they reviewed to be A.D Adition a now solwezi resident who was once a Danger Zone artist. You might recall A.D Adition from Binel’s Hit song Sulipo and His own song Unyemu which was rocking the air waves.The song title has made people wonder what it will be about. Will this song be a breakthrough for Hashtag?
